Thursday Night D&D
Account of Zed's Servants
Horian Windtop was actually one of Zed’s top-ranking minions. He was the lore-master and historian for Zed personally. There were four other minions working for Zed: Starbane the Necromancer, who created most of Zed’s army. Zanster the Cleric, who delved deep into dark powers to increase Zed’s power. Ironhide the Warlord was Zed’s chief general and led most of the campaign against the Amatherians. The last was Graven the Oathbreaker, a fallen and unholy Paladin. He was always at Zed’s side and though the nature of their alliance was unclear, Graven was obviously the closest and most powerful ally Zed possessed. Each minion had his own headquarters, and each guarded a necroshine beacon. Zed himself had a high tower, located centrally to each of his minions, which existed partly in this world and in the Shadow Realm. Horian’s accounts mention that with all five beacons activated, the tower would become fully manifested in both planes, and form a gate between them. He specifically mentions that Starbane was the creator of the beacons, and he built a mountain-top observatory as well as an artifact called the “ Eye of the Night” with which to view them.
